Founded in 1969, the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) is where energy professionals meet to exchange ideas and opinions to advance scientific and technical knowledge for offshore resources and environmental matters. OTC is sponsored by 13 industry organizations and societies who work cooperatively to develop the program each year. OTC also has two endorsing organizations and ten supporting organizations.

Technical Program

This year’s technical program covers a wide range of topics related to the offshore energy industry. The conference offers key insights by global experts on technological advances, safety, and environmentally focused solutions, as well as economic and regulatory impacts. This year, OTC received 1,313 proposals, the highest in the event’s history.

Highlights

Project Updates: Get updated on CLOV Angola, Ichthys LNG, and the Gulfstar One Floating Production System, which was installed at a depth of 4,000 feet.

Technology Improvements and Advances: Explore the application of aerospace technology to the energy industry, flexible pipe advancements, and more.

Collaboration Between Competitors: Hear from a panel of executives from six service companies as they discuss the importance of exchanging ideas and learning from each other’s successes so that a vibrant, successful future is available to all.

Health, Safety, and Environment: Sessions are focused on real-time monitoring and risk assessment, as well as corporate social responsibility and preparation for an ultra-deepwater technology development program.

Future Thinking: As technology improves, what is on the horizon for flow assurance, applications of CFD, and extending the lifetime of current facilities will be discussed.
