EUFMC Sets Its Sights On 2024

71st annual conference planning is underway

Lissa Brady of SDG&E joins the EUFMC Board of Directors

Planning has begun for the 71st annual EUFMC, to be held June 2-5, 2024, at the Williamsburg Lodge and Conference Center in Williamsburg, Virginia.

“The 71st annual EUFMC will continue a seven-decade tradition of providing unparalleled value for fleets operating utility and telecom equipment,” said EUFMC President Dave Meisel, Quanta Services. “With the much appreciated and continuing support of our sponsors, the conference will deliver a premier educational program and the opportunity for fleet representatives to network with each other and the industry’s leading suppliers. In 2024, we look forward to continuing to serve as the industry’s leading forum.”

Meisel also welcomed Lissa Brady, fleet asset manager at SDG&E, to the EUFMC Board of Directors. Brady, he noted, brings highly valuable experience to the conference. At SDG&E she oversees the team responsible for the specification, design, and acquisition and disposition of fleet assets, including a focus on transitioning to a fully zero emissions fleet by 2035. Prior to joining the utility, Brady held leadership roles with industry OEMs, including Terex and PACCAR.

“I am thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to join the EUFMC Board and continue the tradition of service to the industry that the EUFMC represents so well,” Brady said.  “Between networking with other utility fleet managers, having access to key vendors, and an educational program that is always relevant to utility fleets, the EUFMC has long been established as the most important professional event of my year. I look forward to supporting its continued success.”

In 2023, EUFMC set a new record when more than 160 fleet representatives from electric utilities, contractors, co-ops and municipal operations, including over 50 new members and eight new companies, were in attendance. The conference continues to expand its membership to include fleet managers from electric utilities, electrical contractors, utility co-ops, tree care operations, municipalities, and telecom fleets.

At the annual conference as well are more than 350 supplier representatives from 100 companies that offer vehicles, equipment, products and services to fleets operating utility equipment.
