Organizers of the HANNOVER MESSE USA trade show recently announced they have rebranded the event as Industrial Transformation USA.
The trade show will now take place annually, beginning with one Oct. 10-12 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis. The event’s official name is now Industrial Transformation USA, a HANNOVER MESSE event. The brand also runs shows in Mexico and the Asia-Pacific region.
According to a press release, organizers chose Indianapolis because it’s within driving distance of 60% of U.S. manufacturing jobs. The Midwest is home to 76,000 manufacturing facilities and more than 4 million jobs, the statement said.
“Industrial Transformation USA will be built from the Operational Technology (OT) user perspective, engaging a board of industry professionals that will guide the development of the events format and content,” the press release said.
Ed Nichols, CEO of Industrial Transformation USA, said in the statement that organizers were responding to audience research.
“Our focus groups at HANNOVER MESSE USA 2022 demonstrate that our attendees, primarily OT, also want to meet more frequently and bring more members of their team,” Nichols said.
“They would like an event focused on digital transformation, not something lost in a larger event. They would like to be central to the U.S., but not where a smaller event might get lost. And they would like it to be lower cost so they could bring more of their management team. Indianapolis checks all of those boxes.”
