PHD, Inc., a manufacturer in industrial automation, appointed Aurelio Banda as president and chief executive officer, the company said in a June 1 announcement.
The appointment was effective April 1.
As president and CEO, Banda will oversee all activities and operations of PHD, leveraging his 30 years of experience in the industrial automation industry, the announcement said. Banda has a background in technology leadership, business management, finance, operations, strategic development, and market strategy.
Most recently, Banda, as president and CEO, led Beckhoff Automation in North America, known for its advanced automation systems and PC-based control technology, where he penetrated numerous high-tech industries while taking the company to new heights in sales and growth. Prior to joining Beckhoff, Banda founded Controls Plus, Inc., a distribution and software development company in the industrial automation sector, leading the company for 14 years.
Founded in 1957 and headquartered in Fort Wayne, Ind., PHD offers standard and custom-built pneumatic and electric actuators, OEM drop-in components, specialty workholding clamps, and motion control robots.
