Schmalz Showcases Vacuum Products at MODEX

Schmalz Inc. will exhibit three vacuum technology products at the MODEX 2022 trade show March 28-31 in Atlanta.

Schmalz will feature its Area Gripping System (FQE), the modular VEE end of arm tool, and the new Jumbo Order Picker. A robot at the Schmalz booth will demo the products.

The Area Gripping System (FQE) is a flexible large-area gripper for handling products regardless of size and geometry from different picking positions. The Area Gripping System (FQE) is ideal for stationary handling tasks with collaborative robots as well as fully automated applications. The gripper is available in two different formats, with suction cups or foam and is a great fit for handling products in the automotive, glass and electronics sector.

The Schmalz VEE vacuum end effector is a modular end-of-arm tool that boasts high-speed speed capabilities and a cost-effective design ideal for packaging processes. It is commonly used in pick-and-place applications, for fully-automated filling of cardboard boxes in case packers, and transporting products into top-loading machines, cardboard boxes, and tray aligners.

The Jumbo Order Picker is a standalone, battery-powered unit that functions with or without a pallet rider. All components are made to withstand the demands of warehouse order picking. The order picker is compatible with any standard pallet rider lead acid or lithium battery and is designed so that swapping batteries is an easy 2-minute task.
