Bosch Rexroth Hosts “Factory of the Future Live” Exclusive Event to Detail Next Steps to Apply i4.0/Industrial Internet of Things Technology Today

Special half-day event features expert talks and panel discussions from senior Rexroth executives, as well as executives from Nokia and Bosch, focusing on real-world trends, topics and technologies that companies can use to shape the Factory of the Future today.

Machine builders, manufacturers and automation integrators in search of practical, real-world ways to start using Industry 4.0 technology to advance their business goals are invited to attend the Factory of the Future Live on Tuesday, October 15, 2019, at the Chicago Connectory in the historic Chicago Merchandise Mart.

Hosted by Bosch Rexroth, this free half-day event provides an informative setting for learning and exchanging insights about how manufacturing and industrial automation businesses can prepare to take maximum advantage of the next new developments in Factory of the Future technology and business processes.

“In the Factory of the Future, connectivity is key,” said Heiko Schwindt, Bosch Rexroth, Vice President of Automation and Electrification. “Everything is connected, from field-level to cloud-based solutions. To make full use of this technology, we also need to connect with each other by sharing new ideas and innovative approaches to start making the Factory of the Future a reality today. 

“Bosch Rexroth is hosting the Factory of the Future Live to showcase how we believe companies can literally begin bringing the Factory of the Future to life … and begin doing it today,” he said.

The Factory of the Future Live event will include expert talks, real-world customer use cases and panel discussions designed to engage, inform and even entertain as key Industry 4.0 and IoT topics are explored.

Bosch Rexroth and other guest presenters will showcase technologies that allow machine builders to lead manufacturing innovation through connected automation and the Internet of Things. Key technology talks include:

  • Lead Manufacturing Innovation Through Connected Automation: The Now, Next and Beyond of Industrial Automation — presented by Heiner Lang, Member of the Executive Board, Responsible for Engineering & Factory Automation, Bosch Rexroth AG
  • The Impact of 5G on Future Manufacturing — presented by Mike Calabrese, President Global Enterprise & Web, Nokia
  • The Factory of the Future Realized in Additive Manufacturing — Frank Marangell, President, BigRep America
  • Capitalize on the Data Opportunity With Artificial Intelligence: Improving OEE With Data-Driven Manufacturing — Benjamin Menz, Senior Data Analytics Engineer, Bosch Rexroth

Through these and other event sessions, manufacturers will have the opportunity to consult with experts on ways to achieve full flexibility, connectivity and scalability to optimize OEE within the factory floor. 

Automation integrators will be able to see how connected solutions are resulting in innovative automation and manufacturing systems. In addition, i4.0/internet of things technology and automation experts from Rexroth will be available to consult on how to achieve productivity gains, production transparency and maximum flexibility.

The event will be held at the Chicago Connectory, located in the Chicago Merchandise Mart. The Connectory is a co-creation space and IoT incubator boasting cutting-edge technology and networking opportunities with IoT experts.
