Corrosion-Resistant Plating Technology

p-eatonGuardian Seal™ corrosion-resistant plating technology is offered on carbon steel Walterscheid™ tube fittings, which gives industrial and mobile customers confidence that their fluid conveyance connections will withstand even the toughest of environments. Because of its standard zinc-base plating, augmented by micro-impregnation technology, Guardian Seal™ is proven to prevent red corrosion to a minimum of 720 hours. This puts the fitting performance well above the SAE corrosion-resistance requirements of 96 hours to red corrosion; it also meets more stringent European VDMA, the German Engineering Association’s, 24576-K5 requirements of 720 hours to red corrosion.
