The International Fluid Power Society has launched a dynamic new logo signifying its ongoing and successful transition to an organization well beyond its modest beginnings.
The new logo evokes the clarity, value, and heritage of the traditional IFPS triangle shape within a circle. This triangle-shaped fluid power symbol points upwards towards a gold, radiant horizon representing a bright future; the traditional circle is truncated and represented by a white arc; and the rich red ribbon captures the value of certification, the high level of achievement for those that succeed, and the pride of membership in a prestigious organization. The updated typeface provides a transition to a modern, clean look.
“Our new logo is a visual demonstration of the growth and forward motion of the IFPS. The new branding communicates IFPS’ view of the future,” said Scott Nagro, CFPS, IFPS Vice President Marketing and Public Relations. “With a team of dedicated committee members steering the process, our logo redesign is the first step in a brand refresh with a newly redesigned Website to launch in 2018, creating an easier process for visitors to get certified, get recertified and find valuable training tools.”
Founded in 1960 as a niche society for fluid power professionals, the first Fluid Power Certification was developed in 1980. Expanding its certifications in line with technology changes, the IFPS has since developed 15 unique certifications that now cover diverse job descriptions within the fluid power industry including mechanic, technician, specialist, system designer, and engineer.
The IFPS has nearly 10,000 active certifications throughout the United States and in many countries around the world. The Society’s services include membership, education, and certification. For more information visit www.ifps.org or call 800-308-6005.
