Kraft Fluid Systems, a distributor of mobile hydraulic equipment and provider of mobile drive solutions, recently promoted Scott Durand to president and Melissa Book to chief financial officer.
The promotions were effective Jan. 1.
Durand served as the sales and marketing leader for Kraft since 2008. Prior to this, he was a successful territory manager for Kraft’s Northeast Ohio OEM customers since 2001. Previously, Durand sold industrial plastics in the automotive markets of Michigan. While vice president of sales and marketing, Durand was involved in the Fluid Power Distributors Association’s Young Executives program, eventually joining its board of directors and later serving as president. He has been an active member of the Danfoss Distributor Training Council since its founding and was instrumental in helping Danfoss deliver training programs designed for all levels of the distributor organization. Durand holds an MBA from Baldwin Wallace University.
Book was previously Kraft’s treasurer and controller. She joined Kraft in 2015 and was quickly driven to become the in-house employee stock ownership plan expert to the company’s employee owners. Today she supports the local and national employee ownership associations on panels and with presentations. Book earned an MBA from Tiffin University and spent 10 years as a CPA and auditor at Cohen and Company in Cleveland, Ohio.
