New Festo Valves Endure Environmental Stresses

Festo recently introduced the manually operated VHEF and the mechanically operated VMEF pneumatic valves.

VHEF and VMEF do not require energy conversion, additional reaction time, or long cables. The actuated plunger simply switches the valve and triggers the next step in the process. The valves are designed to withstand environmental stresses.

Each style of valve offers multiple configurations to satisfy a wide range of applications. The VHEF has seven manual versions, including pushbutton, toggle, finger, hand, and selector. The mechanically operated VMEF offers four actuation versions, including stem, roller lever, roller lever with idle return, and piloted.

Both VHEF and VMEF offer 3/2 or 5/2-way functionality. Flow rates are up to 1,200 lpm (317 gpm), pressure ranges from vacuum to 10 bar (145 psi). Tried-and-tested piston spool and disc seat valves deliver reliable operation. Each valve features a robust metal housing for durability. Thread or connectors provide airline hookup. Multiple mounting options are available for both styles. Inch and metric units are included in this new series.
