SCHUNK Receives Hermes Award at Hannover Messe

The Hermes Award, one of the most coveted technology prizes for innovation, was awarded to SCHUNK during the opening of Hannover Messe by the German Chancellor, Angela Markel. Henrik A. Schunk, managing partner of SCHUNK, received the award from the German Federal Minister for Education, Prof. Dr. Johanna Wanka. The prize was awarded for the company’s Co-act Gripper JK1, an intelligent gripping module for human/robot collaboration.
