Problem: What Is The Easiest Fix?

airWhy doesn’t the adjustable flow control regulate the speed to open a door equipped with an automatic door closer? What is the easiest fix?

The original door closer works just fine to close the door. The cylinder retracts to open the door. The TD (Time Delay) is an off delay.

Find Out The Solution
  1. The metered-out circuit does not work properly because there is only atmospheric pressure in the cap end of the cylinder.  For a meter out circuit to work, you need compressed air to restrict.
  2. Easiest fix is to meter-in the air at the rod end of the cylinder.
