Young Executive Programs Featured at FPDA Industry Summit

Seminars for young executives are among the scheduled programming at the Fluid Power Distributors Association Industry Summit Oct. 3-6 in Sandestin, Florida.

The three-day agenda includes opportunities for young executives, including a special seminar on defining purpose and putting that purpose into practice.

At the Young Executive Networking Event: Cardboard Boat Regatta & Pool Volleyball on Oct. 3 at 8 p.m., attendees can team up and build a human-powered cardboard boat. Participants test naval architecture and origami skills at the same time. After the cruise around the pool, night pool volleyball is available. There is an additional cost for this event.

On Monday, 11 a.m. to noon, the Young Executive Workshop: Defining Your Purpose will feature Adam Livesay, cofounder of Elevāt, an IoT company focused on delivering IoT solutions for the industrial and fluid power markets. Livesay’s presentation discusses how leadership must be guided by purpose. A defined purpose gives focus and helps decision-making. During the workshop, Livesay delves into what it means to lead with purpose, how to define your purpose, and how to translate purpose into action.

A charity fun run supports the Lotus Learning & Arts Center. Attendees who can’t make the run can make a donation here.

Register by Sept. 1 to ensure inclusion as an attendee in the Summit Guide. Check the Industry Summit homepage to see the FPDA members attending this year’s summit.
