The Avis Industrial Corporation board of directors has named Greg King as Avis Industrial’s new president and CEO, effective Oct. 19.
King spent the last four years as president and general manager of Harris Equipment, one of Avis’s wholly-owned subsidiaries, with operations in Cordele and Baxley, Georgia, as well as sales and engineering offices in Wiltshire, U.K. King will continue to manage Harris while it conducts a leadership search.
Prior to joining Harris and Avis, King worked at WestRock, formerly Rock-Tenn Company, of Atlanta, from 1989 to 2015 in various senior executive roles.
“I am honored to be given the opportunity to lead Avis Industrial and its diverse portfolio of companies,” King said in an Avis Industrial press release. “I look forward to working with the team in Upland, Indiana, and at each of our subsidiaries.”
Avis Industrial subsidiary companies include AI International, American Baler Co., Crankshaft Machine Company, Edgerton Forge Inc., Harris Waste Management Group, James Steel & Tube Co., Pacific Forge Inc., Peninsular Cylinder Co., and Sellick Equipment Limited.
