How Did You Celebrate?

Thank you to all who celebrated June 19th – the first Fluid Power Professionals’ Day. The IFPS received emails from professionals of the industry sharing how they enjoyed the day. One great example came from Kraft Fluid Systems (pictured above). They celebrated by closing early and inviting all the employees back for some squirt gun games and BBQ!

In honor of the day, IFPS randomly selected three members to receive IFPS promo packs, including a free one-year membership. Congratulations to Todd Welsh, CFPS, CFPECS, Hydraquip-CSI; Stephen McAuley, CFPS, Motion Industries; and Gary Borgman, CFPCC, Pirtek Space Coast.

IFPS Chapter 49/50 held its first-ever South Florida 49’ers meeting on Fluid Power Professionals’ Day (June 19) at Hydraulic Supply in Sunrise, Fla. Twenty two (22) people attended, and plans were made for organizing local training, certification, and future meetings to be held in the South Florida area. After the general meeting, a special presentation was made in honor of Fluid Power Professionals’ Day highlighting the life and accomplishments of Blaise Pascal. Hydraulic Supply provided shirts, pizza, and refreshments for all 22 attending Fluid Power Professionals.

All individuals who submitted pictures of their June 19th activities were entered into the American Express gift card contest. The following individuals were randomly selected by the IFPS to receive a $50 AMEX gift card:
