FPEF Scholarships Now Managed by NFPA Foundation

By Eric Lanke, NFPA President/CEO

Attention FPEF supporters

I want to make sure that NFPA members who are also Fluid Power Educational Foundation (FPEF) supporters are aware of the recent announcement about the future of the FPEF’s very popular and successful fluid power scholarship program. This program, which provides $2,000 scholarships to qualified students studying fluid power at 2-year technical colleges or 4-year universities, will now be managed by the NFPA Education and Technology Foundation.

If you wish to continue supporting the program, you may direct future gifts to the NFPA Foundation at http://www.nfpa.com. We welcome your gift in general support of all our programs. But, if you prefer to restrict your gift for the scholarship program, you can indicate your designation on the donation form.

Like the FPEF, the NFPA Foundation is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt, charitable organization. All donations are therefore tax-deductible.

The NFPA Foundation’s mission is to meet the workforce development needs of the U.S. fluid power industry. Through the generous support of our donors, we manage a portfolio of programs that:

  • Foster awareness and involvement of middle and high school students, helping them understand fluid power’s potential as a technology and as a career path.
  • Increase the number of technically trained people capable of integrating and applying fluid power, and connect them to careers in the fluid power industry.
  • Increase the number of university engineers educated in fluid power, and connect them to careers in the fluid power industry.

The FPEF scholarship program is a welcome addition. If you would like to learn more about our other programs, I would encourage you to visit our website.
