Liebherr Begins Construction of Plant in China

Liebherr-Component Technologies AG, based in Bulle, Switzerland, recently started construction of a new plant in Dalian, China, that will begin manufacturing bearings, drives, and hydraulic cylinders by the end of next year, the company announced Sept. 23.

The project includes new halls with three production lines, as well as office and auxiliary buildings on a floor area of around 44,000 square meters (473,612 square feet).

Liebherr has been present at the Dalian site since 2002 and is currently manufacturing drive components and earthmoving machinery. With this construction project, Liebherr is not only tying together the production of components in one plant but is also making one of the largest investments in the Dalian region in recent years.

The Liebherr Group specializes in the development, design, and manufacturing of high-performance components in the field of mechanical, hydraulic, and electric drive and control technology.
