PIRTEK Announces New Owner in South Philadelphia

PIRTEK, a provider of hydraulic hose replacement and industrial hose repair services, announced a new owner for its South Philadelphia location.

Ken Adair is a long-time PIRTEK franchisee based in Illinois. Over his 23-year career, he opened five Chicago-area PIRTEK businesses, in Bolingbrook, Gurnee, McKinley Park, O’Hare, and South Holland.

PIRTEK South Philadelphia, located at 31 Industrial Highway, Essington, is positioned close to the Delaware River. The location provides fast transit for mobile service to cargo ships docked at the city’s bustling ports. Philadelphia shares many similarities with Chicago’s economy and industry, landing Adair opportunities to gain customers needing hydraulic breakdown or preventative maintenance services.

As Pennsylvania’s largest city, Philadelphia boasts a diversity of industries that use hydraulic power. Main economic contributors include construction, manufacturing, transportation, oil refining, food processing, health care equipment, and commercial shipping located at the city’s marine ports.
