Proportion-Air holds grand opening for new building

Gulf Breeze, FL – Electro-pneumatic pressure regulation and flow control manufacturer Proportion-Air recently celebrated the completion of its new facility in Gulf Breeze, Florida, with a grand opening event last month.

The event brought visitors from the community to see the company’s new 12,000 square foot building, which houses research and development, marketing and sales, and administration functions. Attendees saw live product demonstrations and spoke with engineers and other staff about past successes, upcoming projects and ideas for future applications.

Proportion-Air’s products have been used in projects known around the world, including helping to dig the Channel Tunnel between England and France, providing the polishing force to change megabit drives to gigabits, and operating the fountains at the Bellagio hotel in Las Vegas.

Founded in 1985 by president and CEO Daniel Cook, the company develops pneumatic devices that use compressed gas or air to move cylinders, motors, and many other mechanical parts. Proportion-Air distinguishes itself by offering custom-built regulators with acute accuracy and repeatability offering manufacturers an exact solution for their needs. This new facility provides more space to invent and test new products.

In addition to electro-pneumatic regulators, Proportion-Air offers mechanical pressure regulators, flow control devices and product accessories. Burling Valve industrial process regulators for gas and liquids and the Protect-Air line of miniature pre-set regulators are also part of the brand family.

All Proportion-Air and Burling Valve products are made in America at Proportion-Air’s 30-acre manufacturing location in McCordsville, Indiana, about 20 miles east of Indianapolis. The company also has an additional technical sales support office in Texas.
