Schroeder Industries recently released two new sensor series that have “type approval” for marine applications.
The CS 1000 contamination sensor series offers owners and operators of hydraulic fluid powered and oil-lubricated machines real-time measurement of solid oil contamination according to ISO 4406:1999 or SAE AS 4059(D).
The MCS 1000 detects metallic solid particle contamination and continuously monitors the status of a system and imminent gear unit damage.
Schroeder said in a press release that it was responding to an increased demand for certified fluid condition and contamination sensors to meet technical and safety requirements for the marine sector.
The type approval in the marine sector is available for the entire series of CS 1000 and MCS 1000, the release said.
The approvals were granted by Det Norske Veritas – Germanischer Lloyd, an international registrar and classification society headquartered in Oslo, Norway.
