Trelleborg Acquires EirMed Healthcare Business

Trelleborg Group has signed an agreement and finalized the acquisition of EirMed LLC, based in Menomonie, Wisconsin, which specializes in technical precision plastic injection-molded components for medical devices used for in vitro diagnostics, minimally invasive surgery, and orthopedics.

The bolt-on acquisition, which will become part of Trelleborg Healthcare & Medical, was finalized on April 25, and furthers Trelleborg’s ambition to provide materials, components, and processes for medical device manufacturers.

Trelleborg Healthcare & Medical provides engineered polymer solutions for medical, biotech and pharmaceutical applications. It now comprises seven manufacturing facilities in the Americas and Europe, as well as a rapid development center and its global headquarters in the Minneapolis area.
