Fluid Power Action Challenge

Forty-nine students from Cooper Middle School in Austell, Georgia participated in a Fluid Power Action Challenge on March 13. STEM educator and organizer, Diane Goldsberry, M.Ed., noted that, even though the competition had to wrap up early due to district schools closing for the COVID-19 outbreak, the students had created several innovative designs during the course of the competition.

Activities like this one are accessible to schools across the country. Curriculum is available for free download and middle schools and high schools are encouraged to apply for up to $500 to purchase fluid power kits for hands-on classroom activities.
