HYDAC Off-Highway Controllers Certified

HYDAC announced that their TTControl 500 family of high-end controllers, the HY-TTC 500, has received ISO 26262:2018 certification for functional safety up to ASIL C for TÜV Nord.

HYDAC said in a press release, “This means that the same high level of functional safety needed for off-highway machinery such as cranes, construction equipment and material handling equipment can now be utilized as an off-the-shelf component in trucks, buses, and municipal vehicles.”

“Utilizing safety relevant components such as the HY-TTC 500 family in an on-road environment will significantly reduce the cost of vehicle validation,” said Eric Ringholm, electronics division manager for HYDAC. “A single controller can be used for one machine with a singular architecture that can be utilized across numerous applications to increase safety, handle complexity, and save costs.”
