Hobbies and Interests: Walking, jogging, hiking, boating, construction, and working at our church. Professionally, I love helping to create awesome products from scratch—concept to completion. It’s very rewarding.

Duties: VP, COO, Operations Manager

Hobbies and Interests: I love walking/running, gardening, waterskiing, snow skiing, also watching The Voice, lots of movies, and HGTV.  Professionally, I enjoy creative projects, working on advertisements, and custom publications.

Favorite Quote: “The happiness of your life depends on your thoughts.” I love this quote because what we tell ourselves is just as important to our outlook on life as what we tell other people.

Duties: As Associate Publisher, I am responsible to manage the sales, marketing, editorial, and production of the Fluid Power Journal.  I also personally handle sales for the Mid-West US, eastern Canada, and all other International Sales.

Hobbies and Interests: I enjoy reading, baseball (I am a diehard Phillies fan!), football (How ‘bout dem Cowboys?), walking, and traveling to new places.

Favorite Quote: “It is one of the most beautiful compensations of life that no man can sincerely try to help another without helping himself” by Ralph Waldo Emerson. If you truly help other people, you will ultimately help yourself.

Started working for FPJ: August, 2017

Duties: I am the editor of the print issue and the e-newsletter. I assign and edit all feature articles, review and edit news, product, and personnel releases, and communicate with our contributors, technical editor, and the IFPS to provide an educational, technical resource for our readers.

Hobbies and Interests: Reading and writing. I particularly like those old-fashioned novels where you live in another world for a while. I also enjoy baseball, walking and traveling, and, believe it or not, the French language.

Favorite Quote: “There are more things in Heaven and Earth, Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy.”  From Shakespeare’s Hamlet. To me the quote means always question, always explore, always learn.

Started working for FPJ: I began submitting articles to the Journal in mid-2008. Then, in 2012, I was asked to become the technical editor.

Duties: I review submitted articles for their technical content to be sure they are accurate and conform to standards appropriate for the IFPS.

Hobbies and Interests: I am convinced that we live in a world that was designed by the Creator and that we have an obligation to be good stewards of the resources available to us. Because my field of work is in fluid power, I spend a lot of my time planning ways in which we can more efficiently transfer energy through fluids.

Favorite Quote: One of my favorites is from Thomas Edison: “I never failed; I just found 10,000 ways it won’t work.” I find this encouraging.

Started working for FPJ: August 2008

Duties: My responsibilities include designing the magazine and all related marketing materials and  handling advertising artworks. Updating web content, putting together the digital issue, creating the e-newsletter, and posting on social media are amongst my duties. I also crack a lot of jokes, but I don’t think I’m getting paid to do this.

Hobbies and Interests: Eating, laughing, and watching movies. Marvel Cinematic Universe, anyone? I also love a good book that can make me cry. It’s therapeutic, and to my amusement, it freaks out the fiancé.

Favorite Quote: “You can never cross the ocean until you have the courage to lose sight of the shore” by Christopher Columbus.
