Motion & Control Acquires Swanson Flo

In its second acquisition in as many months, Motion & Control Enterprises announced Feb. 4 that it has acquired Swanson Flo Co., a regional distributor of process instrumentation, flow control valves, actuators, and related equipment. Swanson Flo also provides services including actuated valve assemblies, field services, and shop repairs.

Based in Plymouth, Minnesota, Swanson Flo employs 92 associates, servicing industrial and municipal markets in 13 states in the upper Midwest and beyond. The company has four warehouse locations. 

As a division of MCE, Swanson Flo will continue to operate under the Swanson Flo name with the same leadership team, employees, and suppliers. Founded in 1960, the company provides process and flow control solutions.

MCE is a supplier of technical fluid power and lubrication solutions across fluid connector, hydraulic, pneumatic, filtration, compressed air, and lubrication technologies. 

MCE announced Dec. 31 that it had acquired Diversified Air Systems, a stocking distributor of air compressors and related products, including vacuum and water recovery systems, nitrogen and oxygen generators, cooling towers, and chillers. The company also provides a full offering of repair, routine service, and aftermarket parts. Based in Cleveland, Diversified employs 42 associates and will continue to operate under the Diversified Air Systems name with the same leadership team, employees, and suppliers.
