Building The American Dream With Fluid Power
Building the American Dream takes power—fluid power! The Bonar Family powers their dream with a fully restored 1948 Farmall Super C Tractor. The equipment is used on the family farm in rural Ohio where their children take part in 4H raising, sheep, goats, and chickens.

Roof bolter set up to install bolts in an underground coal mine. TRS (temporary roof support) is used hydraulically to hold roof from collapsing or falling out while holes are drilled and bolts installed for roof support.

Metal dinosaurs
Scrap metal is trucked in and off-loaded using an end dump trailer. Bigger pieces are cut by a CAT 330 excavator with shears attachment then sorted and piled high by a Hitachi 450 excavator with claw attachment at Rumetco, a recycling plant in Wilmington, CA. None of this would be possible if not for the power of hydraulics.

Nothing is more exciting than an evening spent using one hydraulic device to help maintain another (bottle jack and braking system repair). It doesn’t get much more dense than a bottle jack!

A closed-loop, self-contained hydraulic circuit power unit used to operate the 1,500/lb armored doors and the 2,000/lb armored ramp. The power unit can operate in any orientation, even if the APC is upside down.
