Sea Electric Integrates Terzo Steering Unit

Terzo Power Systems will supply its Hydrapulse steering units to commercial eMobility leader SEA Electric.

Terzo, an electrohydraulic technology manufacturer that specializes in compact, energy-efficient smart hydraulic steering solutions for the electrification of fluid power, provided the unit to SEA Electric for its SEA-Drive power system.

Terzo’s Hydrapulse EHSU electrohydraulic steering pump unit uses an integrated motor, controller, and closed loop feedback specially developed for mobile steering assist and e-steering applications.The EHSU is available in both high- and low-voltage models, plus a variety of pump displacements and power levels.

SEA Electric, founded in Australia in 2012, launched its first commercial model in 2017 and has subsequently deployed across five continents a range of zero-emissions commercial platforms, including trucks, buses and vans. SEA Electric’s deployments have successfully achieved over 1.5 million miles of telematics data to date, proving the real-world dependability of the SEA-Drive power-system, according to a Terzo press release.
