ABB premiers its new Baldor-Reliance totally enclosed water-cooled AC motor this week at the Offshore Technology Conference in Houston.

The motor is quiet and versatile, available in both NEMA and IEC frame configurations, offering reduced maintenance and high performance in some of the toughest environments.

Water-jacket cooling provides efficient heat transfer extending the life of the motor. Rotor technology achieves an ultra-premium efficient (IE5) rating for energy savings in an environmentally friendly solution.

The motor’s torque-dense solution provides efficient operation through space savings when compared to traditional induction motors, making the water-cooled motor a great option for ship or shore.
