Trelleborg Launches Seals Shop, PU Seals

Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a manufacturer and supplier of precision seals, bearings, and custom-molded polymer components, recently launched a new customer service and a new line of polyurethane seals.

Fluid Power Seals-Shop

Trelleborg’s Fluid Power Seals-Shop, available to customers in North America, is an online solution for fast and easy procurement of high-performance seals and wear rings critical to the function of hydraulic components in fluid power applications.

The 24/7 self-service platform for manufacturing and maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) enables customers to place orders for standard products such as rod and piston seals, scrapers, wear rings, and AS568 O-Rings. Products ship directly from Trelleborg’s logistics centers, ensuring quick delivery. Customers can easily search for products and access their invoice payment, order history, and shipment tracking all from the Seals-Shop.

Trelleborg will add additional products to the Fluid Power Seals-Shop in the future. The Chemical Transportation Seals-Shop launched in July 2020.

PU Seals for Hydraulic Applications

Trelleborg recently launched a new line of high-quality polyurethane (PU) seals in inch sizes for light-, medium- and heavy-duty hydraulic cylinders and other linear hydraulic applications.

The PU line, comprising piston, rod, and buffer seals and wipers, is designed for use in original equipment and for retrofit to common American groove sizes to accommodate the manufacture and refurbishment of hydraulic cylinders in fluid power and off-highway applications.

The PU seals and wipers are suitable for common hydraulic applications with typical pressures of 3,000 psi (207 bar), temperatures from -30°F to 230°F (-34°C to 110°C) and speeds up to 1.5 ft/s using standard mineral oils. Zurcon premium-grade PU material options are available for synthetic oils, fire-resistant fluids, and biodegradable fluids.
