IFPS Spring Meeting Set for This Month

IFPS’s spring meeting takes place in person and virtually Feb. 27-March 2 in New Orleans. 

At the meeting, each of the five IFPS committees – education, certification, membership, marketing, and finance – reports on its progress in meeting goals and completing projects. The meeting also includes local tours and networking opportunities. 

The week opens with a technical workshop called A Deep Dive into Cartridge, Logic, and Pilot Operated Check Valves. Presented by Ernie Parker, CFPAI, on Feb. 27, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the workshop dives into some of the most popular components in a fluid power system. Parker covers pilot operated check valves, outlining proper applications, sizing the correct ratio for different applications, designing circuits with pilot operated check valves, and why orifices are often needed. He covers counterbalance valves, and internal and external pilots, and circuits that need counterbalance valves.
