Bosch Rexroth exhibit includes award-winning SVA
The Offshore Technology Conference kicks off today in Houston.
After canceling the annual trade show last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and then postponing it in May, OTC returns with a hybrid in-person and virtual event today through Thursday at NRG Park.
The conference expects more than 59,000 energy professionals and over 2,000 providers of products and services who will exhibit in more than 564,000 square feet of space.
OTC will hand out several awards, including Spotlight on New Technology, an award for exhibitors that showcases advanced technologies. The conference also gives awards for distinguished achievement and emerging leaders.

Bosch Rexroth Showcases Marine Technology
Bosch Rexroth’s multiple exhibits and demonstrations feature the company’s latest digital and cloud-based technologies and robust hydraulic, electromechanical, and electrohydraulic systems.
The Bosch Rexroth booth will exhibit its award-winning subsea valve actuator. A demo will show a process valve connected to a digital twin that can simulate any subsea process automation application.
Also on display are Rexroth’s heavy-duty large hydraulic cylinders for offshore and motion systems, which can be engineered to specific customer requirements and are designed to operate in the harshest conditions.
An interactive demo highlights the integration of multiple Rexroth hydraulics technologies, including the VT-HPCn pump controller with Sytronix variable speed function and a Hägglunds CA50 hydraulic direct drive motor.
Other exhibits include the CytroBox hydraulic power unit with CytroConnect; Rexroth’s hydraulic secondary control drives for winches, cranes, wave compensation systems, subsea crawlers and other advanced offshore applications; and Rexroth’s Online Diagnostic Network, an Industry 4.0 solution that uses predictive analytics to keep connected hydraulics systems operating at peak efficiency.
On Thursday, Bosch Rexroth subsea technology expert Alexandre Orth gives a presentation entitled “A Novel Subsea Actuator To Electrify Small-Bore Valves“ in the technical session Subsea Electrical Architectures.
